Fox Searchlight was originally going to release Crazy Heart next year, but after the relative disappointment of Amelia, they have pushed it up to a December 16th release. Fox Searchlight usually has a big name in the awards race, and Crazy Heart will be this year’s title.
Apple now has the trailer. And the good news is, it’s all good news. The film looks excellent, and Jeff Bridges is now the front runner for Best Actor. Crazy Heart has been drawing some comparisons to The Wrestler, and from the looks of this preview, I think it will be worthy of those comparisons.
